Dear Friends,

“Life is all about taking things in and putting things out.”

I apologize for my small vacation from this site. My life is quite busy now with the new semester in full gear. I have lots of projects going on right now that have been consuming my life, not to mention the recent female addition to my time. I am working three jobs currently, along with free lance work, while going to school full-time. Im trying to lock down my summer plans, and I may be in your area as an intern during then.

This project was an insane 7 months, but I’m afraid it is starting to slow down. My professors say work on something until it feels like you’re beating a dead horse. I will try to continue to post new receipts as I have the time. I thought it might be interesting to open this up to anyone to send in their own receipts with commentary, but I feel like it would be too much of a clone of PostSecret and Found.

I guess I will stop hiding behind my Visa Card XXXX and a first name for those of you that haven’t already stalked me down through search engines.

Hello, my name is Riley Harmon, and I thank you for the last seven months.

  7. way to go riley! thanks for checking back in - this gives those of us who have been following your project an opportunity for closure. best of luck with your art, your projects and your life - whatever it may bring…and your professor was right, work it till it feels like you’re beating a dead horse and then recognize it’s done.

  23. I suppose all good things must come to an end. Shame, I really loved this project. Maybe I’ll mimic it when I’m in college.

  24. That was pretty enjoyable. It’s an odd sense of connection with someone I know so little about. It’s a closer view at a stranger then I have with some of my friends.

  26. You’ll never know my name either, but I just thought I would drop you a quick line to say that I enjoyed your blog. The concept was awesome. I could never do this, because all my receipts would be for coffee and Mexican food.

I hope that everything in life works out for you, and that you receive all the happiness in the world and then some.

Thank you for an interesting 7 months and take care.

  27. Hey dude. I used to check up on your blog once or twice a month and read everything that I missed. I sort of forgot about it in December because of excessive work and such. I just came back to it today. Although I wasn’t one who checked on it every day, I’ll miss it. Good luck, man.

  28. Who knew that commentary scribbled on receipts could be as riveting and revealing as any great novel of our time. I respect the work that went into this, and appreciate it’s honesty. But man, this is like when Dumbledore died. Finality sucks. :’(
    Best wishes, and thanks muchly.
